Our mission

To bridge gender disparities and empower women socially and economically through training, capacity building, and promotion of micro-enterprise activities.

The Advocacy for Sustainable Women Empowerment Programme (ASWEP) was founded to respond to societal biases and the growing marginalization of women in Kenya.

Our Background

Women often face competing reproductive and productive roles, limiting their capacity for advancement. This challenge is exacerbated by cultural practices such as FGM, restricted access to education, and limited involvement in leadership and economic ventures.
